October Shout Outs!

Interact Club is hosting the annual Moonlight Madness 1 mile run/walk event, partnering with Olympia Sports on Thanksgiving night.  All proceeds will benefit the Fuel Assistance Fund at Freeport Community Services.  Club members have been volunteering in many ways in the community.  Each month 2 student members join the Rotary Breakfast to give updates on Interact news.  The focus of interact is to support local, national, and international needs. Club Advisers are Dede Bennell and Dana Clark.

Teen Trendsetters:  This is a hands-on reading mentoring program of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy being coordinated by FHS Dede Bennell and  MSS Pam Davis. 15 FHS students will be trained and paired with 15 Morse Street School students who are behind their peers in reading.  Together they will meet weekly and  work with a series of educational and entertaining books and resources to improve reading skills and promote an interest in Science.

Financial Aid Informational Sessions - Jan. 15th

Financial Aid Informational Sessions

Region 10 Technical High School, in Brunswick, is hosting a follow-up event to our Financial Aid Informational Session.  On Thursday, January 15th at 6:30 p.m. a financial aid specialist from FAME will walk parents and students through the entire FAFSA worksheet to completion.  This is a workshop in which you can fill out your entire FAFSA application with a specialist on hand to guide you through the process.  All are welcome to attend this session at Region 10!
